Indledning
This is an analytical essay of the opinion article “Nike just thrust Kaepernick back in the spotlight – where he belongs” written by Khaled A Beydoun.
The articles topic deals with the former NFL star Kaepernick who gets into trouble with the NFL because of his political beliefs.
In the essay, I will be focusing on sender, receiver, forms of appeal, linguistic features and how successfully Khaled A Beydoun communicates his views. At the end, I will come with a conclusion.

He describes him as he is one of the most important and best players in the NFL. He also says that Kaepernick is more than just the face off Nike, which also shows that Khaled think Kaepernick is a very important person, and that is why he is described with so many positive words.
The writer also uses a lot of negative words about the NFL, because he is in agreement with Kaepernick and thinks that it was a bad idea too kick Kaepernick out of the league.
He is also talking about the other guys that were hired to take Kaepernick’s place in the line-up, but also the statistics that showed how much better Kaepernick is, and that is why he uses negative words to describe the NFL because he is not happy with their decisions.
