Summary
“Mixed race in the UK: am I the future face of this country?” is an article written by Laura Smith.

Smith is a black female, with a mixed family, she describes her childhood as a black female, at an early age, she recognised that the other children were different from her, and they called her racially subversive names.

Despite London being far more diverse from when she was younger, she sheds light on the problems in our society, such as the media finding them absurdly unrealistic.

She talks about influencers with mixed children and their impact on society. She believes that it is becoming more normal to be mixed, that is why Laura finishes off by wondering how her kids’ life will be as mixed kids.

Analytical Essay
The unfortunate truth is that discrimination is still a problem, it is progressively getting better, especially with the new generation and #BlackLivesMatter movement, which took over the media.

These are factors that make the new generation more aware of the racial problems. This Analytical essay is going to shed light on modes of appeal, style of language, and circumstances.

We are going into details with how Smith persuades the reader, during the text, then finally briefly talk about how we can help with a solution to fight the uncomfortable racial equality in the UK.

The Style of language is throughout the text formal and educational, she has a clear message that she wants to pass on to the reader.

She does so by an irritating comment as a title, if you disagree with her. “Mixed race in the UK: am I the future face of this country”
