In USA almost everyone can buy firearms as they would like as long as they have a license and no criminal record. But with that many guns orbit in the society it’s hard to keep track of who’s hands the weapons land in. Because a lot of weapons is bought illegally and this is where holes and needs of gun restriction begin to appear with tragic consequences.
In the blog post “Let’s Be Honest, Gun Control Opponents” Nick Laure addresses his opinions about gun control in the US. His blog is posted at the Huffington Post as a blog contribution. Nick Laure is the sender and he shows his opposition of gun violence.

His main focus point of the blog post is the lack of gun control legislation in USA. In his blog post his main argument is “Your gun rights are more important to you than other people’s lives.”. This argument is obviously targeted against the people who are for the rights of bearing firearms.
By this we can tell that Nick Laure is the sender of the message and intention of gun restrictions, while the people who like the gun laws like they are now are the recipients.
Nick Laure uses a lot of pathos in the blog post, especially when he use examples from real life. Nick Laure is referring to the shootings on the school, Sandy Hook, where he claims that, it doesn’t help to give the teachers a chance to defend themselves and the students with weapons.
He’s trying to get to the parents emotionally, by proposing that their children should carry a gun at school to defend themselves. But Nick Laure also explains that the element of surprise always will give the shooter an advantage, so the students have a minimal chance to rescue themselves.
