Hinduism respects all religions inclusively anddoes not claim its followers are the only true believers, chosen by God.

Hindu children are taught to regard all of humanity - and everything inthe universe - as being permeated by the same divine essence.

This divine essence may be called God and may also be known by many other names.Hindus are therefore required to respect the beliefs of others, and also to respect nature and animals.
