The text “How America’s Children Packed On the Pounds” is about how the American kids take one after another kilo. In the 1950s, kids had three cups of milk for every cup of soda. Today that ratio is reserved, that means they get all the calories and none of the nutrients.

There is nothing that defines them, quite like their love of chow time. But the problem is, all those calories they get, by eating and their love of chowing, comes at a price. America’s children get thicker and thicker.

In 1900 to 2000 men have become 15 kg in average heavier, and women 10 kg. And in 1985 there where only eight states in which more than 10% of the adult population was obese. By 2006, there were no states left in which the obesity rates were that low, and in 23 states, the number exceeded 25%.

Not even the most active kids can’t hold out forever, against the storm of food coming at them every day. And, besides that, 32% of all American children carry more pounds than they should.

Obese boys and girls are already starting to develop the illnesses of excess associated with people, when they get older, and other illnesses. Not only are adults and kids consuming far more calories than they can possibly use, but they also become more and more lazy.
