Hello I am an exchange student at Troy high school here in Detroit. I have been asked to do a speech for you, my fellow students. The topic today is the automotive industry.
In the old days, it was rare to have a car, if you had a car, your neighbors knew you lived in luxury because there were so few who had a car.

All the other car manufacturers all make fine, luxurious and expensive cars, Henry Ford realized that the car covered an important need for the families.
He also realized that the hard-working family man did not have that much money for expensive cars.
Henry saw there was a big gap in the market because all the others were making big luxury cars, so therefore he chose to build cheaper cars so many more had the opportunity to buy a car.
