Fairtrade speech

Hello everyone, and thank you so much for being here! I am so glad to see so many of you today. Before I begin let me quickly introduce myself.

My name is Ea Wellberg Olsen, I am 17 years old, and student at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, USA. And with that out of the way, we can begin my speech.

As all of you probably know today’s topic is Fair Trade to fellow students. Firstly, I will be developing three main points: What exactly is Fairtrade? Why is Fairtrade important? And how can we help Fairtrade?

That was short about what Fairtrade is, and how it works. So we all know what we are talking about. Now to the more important things, we must talk about: Why is Fairtrade important?

Fairtrade is very important for the farmers in vulnerable countries, many farmers from Africa, Asia, and south and central America are very poor, and Fairtrade makes sure the poor farmers are guaranteed, a stable income, and are safe if something should go wrong for them.

It’s very important that we support Fairtrade, because they do a very good job, for the farmers, who not have many opportunities.
