Indledning
India is one of the world's biggest countries and with one of the biggest populations. India is a developing country in some areas, but at the same time, it is highly developed in other areas.

In the last twenty years, India’s economy has grown and prime minister, Narendra Modi has implemented many reforms .

The growth of India’s economy and population means that in a few decades the country could become one of the largest and most important markets in the world. The question is, will this rapid devolvement benefit the people of India?

It is a paradox that the country becomes richer and at the same time experiences a problem with child labor:

“Economic theory suggests that child labor would be all but eradicated by growth and development.

But after some successful efforts to increase the number of children in school and to rehabilitate former child workers, the national effort to eliminate the practice is losing momentum and child labor in major cities has increased significantly” .

It is a big challenge for the Indian government. The cause of child labor is poverty. Many Indian people have a large number of technological advancements and a big part of the population have a mobile phone. Unfortunately, this does not prevent poverty.

Another problem that the Indian government is facing, is the poor school system. On one hand, it is a good thing that the number of children who has no schooling has fallen since 1980, but on the other hand, it is a very bad thing that the same children don’t learn enough in Indian schools.

However, India is facing great challenges. The country struggle with poor education, child labor, and unemployment.

It is a paradox, and it does not seem to benefit the greater part of the population. It is a problem that India’s development is segmented and does not support the less developed areas where children work, and unemployment is increasing.
