The story starts in medias res, which leaves us with no prober introduction of the family, but what we know is when reading the story, it’s told by the child’s POV, this makes the story more understandable and makes the reader get a feeling of how it is to be, in the different situations.
The short story is about a deformed boy, who talks in a broken English, has a brain like a child, with not much knowledge of the outside world.
He looks like a human being boy but is hidden away by his parents. Thinking about the story, some people could argue about this story being an example of the kind of child abuse that we have in this world.
But maybe his family is just ashamed of the creature they have brought into this world and the fear it has given them, as an example maybe the child could hurt somebody else. Even though that not what his intentions are .
