My essay will be about the topic The Frontier Heritage. We have been working with this topic for some time, and when we were working with The Frontier Heritage, we saw a movie called “Dances with wolves”
When we were working with the theme, we were often told that Americans loved to talk about the frontier heritage, so hopefully I will be able to get to a conclusion on why they love the frontier heritage.
I will do that by answering the questions, how is the movie Dances with Wolves relevant in relation to the frontier heritage, can you apply any of the terms mentioned in chapter 4; The Frontier Heritage to the theme of the movie and the protagonists, and do you found the movie trustworthy?

“Dances with wolves” takes place in Tennessee at St. David’s field in 1863. The movie is about a man named John J. Dunbar. Dunbar got shot and was wounded in battle. But his fight did not end there. He was not satisfied with being wounded in battle. There was no dignity in that.
He was in the war already, and he had to win it or go out in battle. Therefore, he chose to rush through the frontline while bullets whizzed past him. Despite the stray bullets all around him, he did not get hit once.

After some time, he met a woman who was hurt. Dunbar helped her, but he also fell in love with her. He learned that she, as a white woman, was a part of a Native American tribe. His relationship to her led to him being introduced to the world of the Native Americans, and he ended up joining the stribe Sioux
