The feeling of being alive. But it could also be cellphones. Almost every teenager has one and is probably a lot online. It is very addictive. But why is it so important knowing what others are doing?

There is told in the story that she is just receiving the phone after she had been told she was pretty (p.5 l.1). She describes that she never thought of herself as pretty (p.5 ll.18-19).
Strangely she is taking the phone even though she thought he look weird and scary. The second narrator is one that used to go to school with Ellie.
The author made the text a bit unstructured so the reader has to be focused while reading. It can be an illusion of what is going on in Ellies head. It is also unstructured and confused.
