“Why honey” is an interesting story with several topics to think about. For example, the son
The son is a very special character, with very different personal attributes. He had some problems in his childhood and in his youth, but we also know that he`s smart and runs for the governor.
When he was a child, the first suspicious thing we hear about, is that their neighbor sees him killing their cat. When his mother confronts him about it, he denies.
We don’t know if the neighbor is speaking the truth, but the more we learn about him, it points towards it. “Mr. Cooper saw two boys in the field putting firecrackers in Trudy’s ears and in her you know what. He tried to stop them, but they ran”.
The next mysterious thing we hear, is about that the son is lying about his paycheck at the job as a stock boy. What seems strange hear is that the lie is meaningless, it has no purpose.
“I’m so proud, how much did you draw, honey? Eighty dollars, he said” . Throughout the story, the boy seams more and more weird, and start lying about common things.
The story takes a turn we his mother find his bloody shirt next to his weapons. It surprises his mother and us readers.
When his mother in confronting him, he is getting a violent outburst, and that scares her. “He didn't say anything, he kept staring, then he moved over alongside me and said I'll show you.
