In the following essay I will account for the undocumented immigrants in the USA and how Trump winning the Presidential election has affected them. I will discuss the situation they are in, and the challenges they meet in their everyday life. Finally, I will give my personal assessment about what will happen to the illegal immigrants during Trump’s presidency.
Donald Trump vowed to deport all undocumented immigrants from the USA within his first hour in office and vowed to build a wall along the U.S border with Mexico, if he won the presidential election, which he did. There are more than 11 million undocumented immigrants in the USA and they all woke up to the same reality when Trump won the election. The undocumented immigrants came to the USA in pursuit of a better life, The American Dream. But now that Trump has won the presidential election, the undocumented immigrants fear being deported from the USA. None of the immigrants feel safe anymore and they feel like their plans about achieving The American Dream is falling apart. Families fear that Trump’s immigration-policies will tear their families apart. Many kids cried when they found out that Trump won the election, fearing that their parents will be sent to another country.
