Indledning
The Riot Club is a movie about a prestigious club at Oxford University in the United Kingdom. The club’s members are the richest and smartest students. In the movie, we follow Alistair and Miles who have both just joined the club. The movie does not stretch very far in time.

Alistair comes from a rich family, but he did not go to Eton like his big brother, Alistair went to Harrow. You get the feeling that Alistair’s parents like his older brother more than him.
That could be the reason why they did not go to the same school. Alistair feels like he has to be better than his brother. Alistair does not like poor people, and he thinks that he is better than them, because he has a lot of money and a higher status.
He also thinks that he can buy himself out of any situation. We can see that in the scene where Alistair talks about his political ideals in the pub.
When the pub-owner sees what The Riot Club has done to his pub, he tells them to leave. Alistair tries to bribe him, but he does not want the money and mocks Alistair. Alistair then proceeds to beat him up.
