Indledning
The perks of being a wallflower is a film which deals with several themes, including Love, friendship, and growing pains. The main character is Charlie who has some issues, after his best friend took his own life. In the beginning of the film Charlie has his first day in high-school and is lonely because he has no friends.
After a couple of days, he has made some friends. His best friends are Patrick who is gay, and Sam who was the freshman slut, and a couple of other girls, so they are kind of the school outcast.

My opinion about the film is that it was a very well executed film, you had to pay attention throughout the entire film to understand what is going on.
At first, I didn’t understand that he had been abused by his aunt (probably because I didn’t pay enough attention), but when I understood it, it changed my whole perspective on the movie.
I also think that it was a good idea to let the person who created the story (Stephen Chbosky), direct the movie, because he probably has a whole other perspective on the story than other people.
