- Proper and frequent use of transitions to improve the fluency of the text
- Correct contextual use of high vocabulary words
- Use rhetorical devices to empower my argumentation – at least three different
Indledning
From 1815-1914, Great Britain was one of the most powerful, if not the most powerful country in the world.
In the most powerful era of the Empire, they ruled over 25% of the world’s territory. A position the Empire had conquered by using militaristic force, colonization, slave labor, and economic exploitation.

On the contrary, it is important to realize that British colonialism also produced several benefits in the colonized countries and the Western world.
They introduced the representative parliament to areas that were ruled under democracy suppressing forms of government.
In addition to that, they also provided the colonized countries with certain inalienable rights practiced in the West that increased the living standards of many inhabitants.
This led to many violent and discriminating traditions and rituals being abolished. Not to forget, they also promoted the idea of free trade around the world, which is a phenomenon we can thank greatly for our prosperity today.
