The American Election system | Noter

Indledning
The American presidency is not decided by who gets the more votes. Instead, it is about the candidate who gets the most Electorate-Collage votes.

Uddrag
When comparing the Danish and American voting systems, the latter can seem quite complex. An American presidential election is not a direct election, as we know from the Danish elections.

Instead you vote for electors, which are pre-determined for each state. Thus, it is not about getting the most votes, but getting the majority of the electoral votes.
