Indledning
On November 4th 2008, Barack Obama (*August 4 1961 in Honolulu, Hawaii) was elected as the new President of the United States of America.
On the same day he held a speech in Grant Park, Illinois, US, where he talked about different topics, that relate to the USA, such as The American Dream, the financial crisis, equality and how the country has changed in the last century.

The audience is clearly all the citizens of the USA, because he speaks about the country and is their president. The circumstances are
that Obama was elected to be the new President and wants show how grateful he is for his voters and everyone around him and how important the whole thing is for him as you can see in this quote: “But above all, I will never forget who this victory truly belongs to – it belongs to you.” (p. 2, l. 42)
