Part 1.
Segregation has been a huge problem in America after slavery was abolished in 1863. Through the years, segregation has become a minor issue, however, it still exists in America today.
Especially in recent years has this topic been much discussed. People all over the world have made demonstrations of human rights. In this essay, I will account for segregation in the United States.
Furthermore, I will analyze the short story “On Being Crazy” written by W.E.B. Du Bois and make a comparison with the poem “Merry-Go-Round” by Langston Hughes.
Both texts are from the 19th century and are a point of view of segregation in the United States. Du Bois wrote in his short story about racism in society by describing a black man and his struggles by being a Black American.

Part 2.
Adjektiver er ord der fortæller noget om substantiver og pronominer. For eksempel: ”A red car”.
Her er ”red” et adjektiv fordi den fortæller og beskriver noget om substantivet ”car”. Adjektivernes opgave i en tekst er at lave et beskrivende sprog, så teksten ikke bliver kedelig.
