Did you know that over 80 percent of teens feel stressed about doing good in school?
The cause of stress applies easily to teenagers, many students worry about getting a good grade or simply making time to study. The fear of failure and future scares us. Being a teenager myself, there are many days I hear my alarm waking me up for school, and I dread getting out of bed.
I sometimes feel that I wake up every morning not for my education but for the absence that is increasing every day.
Many teens believe that being a student in today's generation is hard because everyone around you is a competition. For me, it is quite the opposite. I am my competition; I am competing every day to concentrate and learn for almost 8 hours in school with 5 hours of sleep.
I am competing every day to not set high expectations for myself and get disappointed by the end of the day. It is hard, but it is also reality. The education system has changed and every day I question myself "what is school for, and is it true that grades determine success and defines me as a person"?

School is so stressful that millions of students like me avoid eye contact with the teacher, to try not to get called upon. We are afraid to raise our hands for the fear of being wrong, which proves that school is not about learning anymore, it is about passing.
Elders go around advising us that everyone is different, and everybody makes mistakes, but it magically does not apply when it comes to grades. One teacher stands in front of 20 + kids and teaches everyone the same way. Each student having different strengths, different needs, different interests, and different dreams. We are being taught to think alike not individually.
