My first thought standing here was: “Wow this podium is small for a big guy like myself”.
I am very happy to attend the debate competition here at Oxford despite the small podium. I forgot to tell you my name. My name is Sebastian Cederquist, and I am a member of the college Cambridge.

Tonight, I will open your eyes to a very serious and overlocked topic here in the UK and the topic is poverty.
This presentation will be about my perspective on poverty here in the UK. If I said that 14 million - a fifth of the UK population - naturally lives in poverty, and needs help to provide food for their family's and get heat in the house?
Would you believe me? Many families live without getting enough food every day and don't have the money to give their children a daily food routine.
