“Multicultural” describes a society in which people of many different backgrounds live. In England and Wales, there are around 18 ethnic groups, these are grouped into 5 ethnic groups:
White, Mixed, Asian (or Asian British), Black (African, Caribbean or Black British), and other ethnic groups. Britain is, therefore, a multicultural country, and multiculturalism will bring many advantages.

A disadvantage of multiculturalism could be that it will be possible that weak minority groups, will lose their original ethnic and cultural identity or lifestyle If the influence of the dominated British culture is too strong.
