To look further into Meta´s participation in development of futuristic technology, In case you haven´t had access to a laptop or lives under a rock, I will form a baseline for you.

The Metaverse is believed to become the successor to the mobile internet. Meta shapes realistic environments and voice interaction so that the user feels present, like they´re right there with people, no matter how far apart they are from each other.

There is set to be no boundaries. The user will be able to bring real-life gadgets and stuff with them into the Metaverse. Limited only by imagination, according to Mark Zuckerberg.

As mentioned above, the Metaverse seems to be the perfect utopia, but nothing comes without obstacles. I am talking about an obstacle where I have a question. Is this even achievable?

First, Meta is supposed to be entered through a “virtual reality headset” whose segment is mainly gamers, VR-geeks and those who can afford it .

Mark Zuckerberg used the product Project Cambria as an example of what is compatible with Meta8 , but it is rather expensive.

Therefore, I was hit by the thought that people who can´t afford the Project Cambria headset, is going to live a life of worse quality in the Meta Universe.

I am not sure if Mark Zuckerberg has heard of economic inequality, which is already a serious problem in the real world.

Furthermore, we also need to focus on already existing problems that could occur in the Metaverse, that could damage the mental health.

Facebook earns a significant sum of money from its core business of selling harvested data from their users9 .

As an alternative to ads that occur on Facebook when you are browsing, Meta could be trapping you in the fictional world with ads stalking you.

These ads could also seem offensive or scare the individual as physiological response and body language isn´t used to advertiser targeting10 .
