Hello fellow students of Stanford University. My name is Katy, and I’m a student here at Stanford University of marketing and economics. It’s nice to see so many familiar faces in the crowd!
Thank you so much for taking the time to come hear me talk. Today I am going to talk about our beloved McDonald’s and their problems
I will also analyze their turnaround strategy on how they are going to get out of that big old slump they are currently in .
Even though McDonald’s is the largest fast-food chain in the world, with more than 35,800 stores worldwide they still have plenty of struggles.
The “Create your taste” is just one of many new concepts they are implementing in their new strategy. In an article released in October by Business Insider, they reveal that McDonald’s will be making 4 changes to attract customers again .
One of those changes is the one, which I mentioned before, but they will also offer a more tailored menu. That involves making the menu more “local” as they call it
and look at the different areas eating habits , and add them to the menu. That way, each menu will adjust to the different locations and therefore attract more customers from said locations.
