Indledning
We had been looking very much forward to hear about Jan Grarup's experiences and stories he experiences as a war photographer.
However, there was an accident and some problems which made Garup unfortunately not able to come due to train problems. Therefore, the plans were changed where we were to watch a film rather than hear the presentation.
The film deals with Grarup's entire life, which had two strong contrasts, namely being at work as a war photographer and at home in Denmark as a family man.

All the pictures we saw in the documentary were black and white which is a huge tool to promote the seriousness of the pictures. He puts his own life on the line to make other people aware of what's going on right around our heads.
The images have the effect that they manage and are more likely to get stuck in our thoughts and become something you do not forget but instead reflect on and remember when you in little Denmark complain and worry about the smallest things compared to their resources and opportunities in other problematic countries, where the world is burning up in step with climate issues.
Personally, Jan Grarup's entire documentary manages to influence us on the sensitive level as you get pity and a bit of self-awareness in situations that for them are just every day.
