The discriminatory practices have undoubtedly changed since the first European settlers came to the shores of North America, but they are there non the less.
Nowadays the racial inequality comes in the form of differential treatment, which can be found hiding in all corners of American society.

The global awareness caused by these demonstrations started a domino effect which even the business world couldn't reject, and stories about mistreatment started popping up all over the world.
Walmart, which is the largest and most popular hypermarket in the whole world, has been storing products that specifically target the African American community, in a locked glass display case.
Therefore this minority group has to find an employee, and ask them to open the glass case for them to purchase a basic product. This is a prime example of how differential treatment is thriving in a modern western country.
But are the retailers really to blame for this? some would say that the Walmart employees are innocent when it comes to locking products away.
Because when there is a problem regarding theft in their stores, they must act on it even though the products that are being stolen are for a specific minority group.
