If you end up in the wrong place at the wrong time it can end extremely bad. Innocent people and their families are getting their lives ruined, by the force of the government.

The message of the story is to never stop believing. Nick Yarris spent so many years in prison and never lost faith.
He studied every day, so he could deliver a statement before his execution. “The whole purpose of my education ultimately was so I could deliver a statement eloquently before my execution”.
It shows how he fought every day, and never lost his fight. The fact that he believed that there was a small chance he could be saved, is the reason he is here today.
