Indledning
Most adults are used to living a structured life. People have routines that they expect not to change. It is the same thing with people around you.

It can be people you know very well or people you live with. You don’t expect these people to suddenly disappear out of your life, likewise the routines and habits you have.

When this does happen, it is hard for people to cope with the changes because they have been so used to living a certain way. The short story “Half-Mown Lawn” written by Dan Powell in 2012 represents the sudden change that can occur, when you experience a great loss.

The story is about a woman named Annie who has recently lost her husband. We get a glimpse of the chaos that a loss brings and how hard it is to get used to a new way of living.
