In the movie ‘’Green Street Hooligans’’ and the article by Andrew Nicholls ‘’I Was a Football Hooligan for 30 years, and I Loved Every Second of it’’, we get exposed to some of the reasons in becoming a hooligan.

The movie ‘’Green Street Hooligans’’ from 2005 tells the story of the American, Matt Bucker who was unjustly expelled from Harvard.

When Matt moves to London, England, he befriends the leader of West Ham’s Green Street Hooligan firm, Pete Dunham.

Due to their friendship Matt discovers another side of the football world and an intrigue of football firms. Matt begins to be apart of this group called the ‘’GSE’’ but not all sees him as a ‘’Brother’’.

It seem as if the main reason Matt joins this group because of the feeling of power he may have been lacking.
