Indledning
When you wake up on your birthday and expect to feel older, you do not. It has and will always be that way.

But still, you feel a difference from being 3 to 11, which means that what you feel is not getting older, but it is the real world becoming a bigger part of your own world, and you will have to live your eleventh year, before you can go back and be eleven years old in all situations.

This is shown in Rachel's life in the novel “Eleven” written by Sandra Cisneros, published in 1991 .

Uddrag
The impressions that Rachel has, influences the readers point of view, because her approaches are subjective. “I finally say in a little voice that was maybe me when I was four.” (Page 2, Line 5-6).

Therefore, is Rachel the first-person narrator and because she uses the word I as well.
