Indledning
The short story is about a girl named Irina. She settles into a cafe before meeting a boy named Christopher at the bookstore further down the street.
Irina's ex-boyfriend, whom she has not seen in three years, enters the cafe with a red-haired girl.
The Ex-boyfriend has hurt Irina by committing violence in all possible forms, but mainly violence with the blue suede shoe which does not give marks.
Irina gets a flashback to their time as a couple, where she then overcomes her memories and opens a new chapter in her life.
