The short story “Adam” written in 1993 by the writer Michael Lee Cohen is about the self-absorbed and arrogant man named Adam.
The story portrays Adam and gives readers a sense of his view on the American dream. To achieve this, it lets Adam explain in his own words what the American Dream means to him.
Turning first to the theme of the story, we could almost be tempted to just say money and wealth because of the tremendous time Adamas spends talking about it.
But there is a deeper theme, which is Adams American dream and sure that dream includes wealth, but it also includes stability and marriage.
