The first part of the speech, Kamala showed her gratitude to the voters and the volunteers. Making sure that the people was being recognized for their work.

She thanked the hard workers who worked tirelessly over the last few days up to the election. She addressed the challenging times the country has been going through with the Corona virus, where she made sure to thank Americans for their vote, reassuring them of their decision.

"And I know times have been challenging, especially the last several months. The grief, sorrow and pain, worries, the struggles," she said. All this gives some kind of credibility to her character and shows that she is in fact grateful for it all, which the voters will remember.

It helps to support her ethos. Deeper into the speech, she also spoke about her family and she thanked Joe Biden, for bringing her and her family into the journey.

She used ethos her again, because it makes her seem like a nice and respectful person. It makes people believe, that she is the right one for the job.
