Indledning
In this essay I would like to analyze The Tragedy of Macbeth, written by William Shakespeare.
William Shakespeare is a very well-known writer of legendary status, who has written many great plays over the years, which has been acted out in theaters for centuries, and continues to be even today.
The Tragedy of Macbeth was first performed as a play in 1606, but it was not published till 1623. The scene I would like to dive into is scene 3 in act 1.

The witch’s prophecy cause concern in Macbeth, as they call him the “Thane of Cawdor” because this title is already taken by another person.
You see Macbeth wants the witch’s prophecy to be true, because who does not want to be king, but he does not quite believe them yet.
However, the first part of the prophecy becomes true almost immediately, when Ross and Angus appears and say that the previous thane of Cawdor has been treacherous with his assistance to Norway.
