Hello everybody, I’m glad that you could all participate in this ceremony where we will remember and mourn our lost ones.
On this exact day, 10 years ago I, Mike Philips, lost one of my best and most beloved friends. My friend Steven Robert who was found with 15 bullets in his body.

I respect love, I respect forgiveness and I respect understanding. We all agree that this event was true gruemeness, and I’m not trying to defend or even trying to understand what these two killers did to our children, our parents, our families, our friends and especially our community.
But we, the victims’ relatives weren’t the only ones who lost someone that day. We all have to understand that this event wasn’t only a result of the things we like to seek explanation in.
I know hundreds of people who plays violent videogames, I speak to hundreds of children each year as a kid’s counsellor who has been exposed to bullying each and every day and I’ve met several children and adults who had an awful childhood and a bad upbringing, but none of these people are school shooters, and they will never become one.
