Hi, I’m here today to give a speech on the topic “Christmas Holidays”. Starting off I would like to introduce myself, I’m Kristian Kollerup, I’m 18 years old and I attend school here at Turøgade.

I have been asked to give a speech on the Topic “Christmas Holidays”. Today’s agenda is that I would like to start with, overall, what is Christmas, the some about Danish Christmas traditions, after that some about American Christmas traditions and lastly about my own Christmas this year. You will be able to ask question as I go or at the end.

The Americans celebrate Christmas a little different than Danes. There are many ways to celebrate Christmas in America because of the many ethnicities, who all bring different traditions.

The Americans decorate their houses both indoor and outdoor as well as the Danes, the Americans also decorate the indoor with trees, which is lavishly decorates with lights and other Christmas ornaments.

Because of the many religions many Americans say, “Happy Holidays” instead of “Merry Christmas”, and not everyone celebrates Christmas.
