“Button, Button” is a story about a Norma, and Aurthur who are offered a deal for $50,000. If they choose to push the button someone they don’t know will die and they will receive the money.
Norma and Aurthur receive a box with a button in. Shortly after receiving the button, Mr. Steward comes to their door and offers them a deal. He says that whoever pushes the button does not have to see the unknown person die. Norma sees an opportunity to make money. Arthur thinks it´s a bad idea because he thinks pushing the button, you’re a murder. They debate for a few days to push the button or not.
Eventually Norma pushes the button, even though Aurthur see is as a murder and Aurthur dies in a train accident shortly after. She receives a check for $50,000 for Aurthur´s life.

Norma is the main character of the short story “Button, Button” by Richard Matheson. She lives in New York and is married to Arthur. First, Norma is very greedy because she really wants to push the button, though she knows that one unknown person will die.
