Biodiversity is important to humans for many reasons. It is the basis of humanity’s life on the planet. However, biodiversity has never before in history been as threatened as it is today by humanity.

Pollution, plastic discharge, forest fires etc are all factors that destroys our nature. But is the problem big enough to be solved, or too big to be solved?

Why and how is biodiversity important too humans? This is what among other things Damian Carrington writes about in his article about, how we humans are depended on biodiversity and how we are destroying biodiversity.

“Without biodiversity, there is no future for humanity,” says Prof David Macdonald, at Oxford University (ll. 7-8 p. 1).
