Indledning
In this following paper I will use both the CAIP model and Rhetorical pentagram analysis method because I think that using both one and the other will provide a more detailed perspective on this non-fiction text.

The author of the column is Fareed Zakaria, who is characterized as The Backstreet Boy of public broadcasting and self-identifies as a political “centrist” according to www.villagevoice.com

In this column Zakaria points out that for once he agrees with president Trump even though Trump is a republican and he is a “centrist” leaning towards the democratic side. He apologizes for agreeing with the president as he is not sure whether the president “wants someone like him to agree with him”.

The column also informs the reader of Trumps points of view, how he is leading the country and it criticizes him for not caring about the people who did not vote for him.

He simply doesn’t care what people think if they don’t agree with him. He is hostile towards these “enemies” and he lets it shine through on social media.

Mostly on Twitter. Zakaria finds it important not to reply to the hostility that Trump shows from the oval office and furthermore he emphasizes the importance of remembering that in the USA there is still a severe distinction between rich and poor.
