Indledning
The evolution of fashion and style has been a lengthy journey, that we've all observed progress and change. In the 1980s, big hair, high waisted jeans, and leg warmers were all popular, and we've since grown into a whole new sense of style.

School uniforms, on the other hand, have remained constant. They've always been around, and everywhere too.

In the article, the rhetorical device : Procatelepsis, is used which is when an objection is anticipated and then answered.

This can be seen in the following quote. : “did this uniform instill in me a sense of oneness with my school, or ideological state Apparatus as I would later realise it to be? Did it resolve the class issue?

Er… not exactly”. (p.1-2 , ll. 36-40) Yet another rhetorical device is employed in the sentence : “the price of the uniform itself was an issue. The wear and tear of it was an issue.” (p. 1, ll. 24-25)

When there is a repetition at the end of a sentence, clause, or phrase, it is called epistrophe which is exemplified here. In the smaller sentence from the same quote : "the wear and tear of it," (p. 1, l. 25) assonance is being used.

When similar vowel sounds are repeated in successive or proximate words but contain different consonants, it is known to be the rhetorical device : assonance.

Another piece from the Guardian, titled “Britain's obsession with school uniform reinforces social divisions”, shows and conveys similar views as Suzannes.

School uniforms are the major topic once again, and the issues with them are also discussed in this article.

This piece was written by Rhiannon Lucy Cosslet and published a year ago, thus it is considerably newer than Suzanne Moores'.

The Covid-19 pandemic is also highlighted, and it is being discussed how that makes it more difficult for parents to pay for their children's uniforms.

In her piece, Rhiannon Lucy Cosslet also adds that one of the educational barriers that many individuals confront, is the cost of uniforms.

“But uniforms prevent bullying, we are told”1 is a quote from the article.
