Many different societies, nations, and religions are based on freedom and making our own decisions. But can we really determine anything in life? Education and establishing a family is self-determining, but being born is not.
You cant choose whether you want to be born or not, whether you want to be born with or without an incurable disease. Shouldn’t we then be able to decide whether we want to live or not?
Is euthanasia an act of murder or is it a morally correct way to end your own life with dignity, by your own choice? And what does it take to get it ?

In the Netherlands, the euthanasia law says , that it's not a requirement that the person wanting to get euthanasia is close to dying.
Only two criteria must be met: The patient has an unbearable disease, without the prospect of improvement. And there is no reasonable alternative. This means that it doesn't matter if you are 12 or 91.
There are many different opinions on euthanasia. Whether it should be legal or not, and whether it’s murder or just a helping hand to someone who really wants to die. But it all perhaps on the case .
Some people will find it very natural, and humanly correct that you by your own choice can decide if you want to live your last years on a hospital bed, waiting to die.
They think that if you already arae suffering from pain every day, laying at the hospital, it should be your right to choose whether you want to live the last years, months, or weeks or not.
With nearly the same condition as Ken, we heard about Vivian Berzinski who was able to turn her situation completely around.
From being a paralyzed woman who at the beginning of her injuries wasn’t able to even talk, into a good and happy life.
