Indledning
The term euthanasia is used when describing the termination of a very sick individual's life to relieve them of their suffering.

When a person undergoes euthanasia, it is typically because they are experiencing immense irreversible pain due to their condition.

In most cases euthanasia is carried out by the assistance of a doctor at the person's request however, there are also times where the person may be too ill to decide, and the decision is carried out by relatives, doctors or as we have seen in recent times, by courts. Euthanasia stems from the Greek word "Euthanatos" which translates to an easy death.
