Uddrag
Another obstacle in “The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time” is when Christopher faces A-level math test. “I am going to prove that I’m not stupid.

Next month I’m going to take my A level in maths and I’m going to get an A grade”. (p. 21, l. 20-21). The A-level math test represents a path to independence for Christopher.

By doing well in the test, Christopher can use the test to enter college so he can live on his own. By overcoming these obstacles, he gains confidence in his ability to cope with any challenge alone.
