Hello everyone, I am pleased to see so many of your accompanying me here today. My name is Xenia Hauschildt, and I am a student at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, USA.
I am seventeen years old, and I have a large interest in the subject fair trade, which is also the reason behind my presence today. I will be discussing the advantages of the fair-trade market, and how it affects us in the modern world.

This I partially true, as the word sustainability includes the practise of improving both our environment, but including our economy, and social diversity and interaction.
Fairtrade takes part in bettering these points. Fairtrade has been shown to increase standards of living and reduce risk and vulnerability for farmers and workers.
The Fairtrade minimum price as earlier mentioned, provides a safety net for the farmers. This security is linked close to economic growth, as a better income means more money to buy and invest in generating other food sources, such as growing new crops
