Indledning
The movie revolves around two former US soldiers returning home after fighting in world war 2. When they return home, they work on a farm in Mississippi, while they must deal with racism, and mental scars from the war.

Hap’s oldest son Ronsel, and Henry’s smaller brother Jamie, both fight under world war. When the two return the war, they meet each other, and becomes friends.

After their return they must deal with stuff like PTSD from the war, and racism.The film is a well written movie, with many personalities and characters which makes the movie interesting, and intense.

The movie makes you see how racism was around 80 years ago after world war 2, and you get a small insight in some of the things many colored people had to deal with, and some places still do struggle with.
