Uddrag
Hello everybody and welcome for this presentation. I am very happy to be here with your businessmen. My name is Jonas and I am 24 years old and studying sociology at the University of Texas. I would like to talk about a topic, there are important for the united states economy and unemployment.

The title of the subject is called, Giving ex-cons a second chance. In my 3 years studying time, I meet many ex-cons, and followed ex-cons, on the way to work, but there is almost nothing to find.

Today I will show you some stats about ex-cons and talk about why they should have another chance, and where they could get a job.
I also discuss who is trying to help the ex-cons out in the labor market.

It was a bit about what I'm getting into, so let's get Giving ex-cons a second chance started.

I'd would like to start with the hard facts in terms of numbers and statistics about the ex-cons. There are in the USA 2.3 million people increased, which is the highest in the world, and more than 65 million people with a criminal record.

Over 97% of the prisoners will end up where they came from after jail, and 67% will end up in jail again. Why that? Because of the employment.

but of all ex-cons who got a job between 2002 and 2006, 93 percent succeeded and integrated into the labor market. but you can probably figure out that getting a job with a spotty criminal record is not easy. Even though there have been studies that help with a job, the risk is reduced by 50 percent if you have a job.
