In Denver, Colorado April 2013 Barack Obama held a speech about the gun violence, that is proceed in America.
In the speech Barack Obama speaks especially of the tragedy incident which occurred where a murder killed six educators and twenty kids.
Obama would like to change the law of owning and buying a gun. The reason why he would like to change some rules of the gun law, it’s because there are many people who suffers from mental health issues, who has to get help or treatment.
Many incidents happen because the perpetrator maybe wants to get help and have mental health issues and then he let his anger and frustration out on a school shooting.

Obama speaks loud and clearly about his point, because many people don’t notice that it is an important topic.
And they really have to think about all these victims who gets killed, traumatize, physically and mentally hurt.
Obama want everybody to see how important this topic is, and we have to help each other’s. In his speech he says, “As a consequence of background checks, law enforcement has been able to stop (violent) people from getting a gun”. (p. 105, ll. 22-25)
It seems like the law enforcement has a positive effect on the gun violence because they are able to control the purchasing of weapons.
Barack Obama also says, “There doesn’t have to be a conflict between protecting our citizens and protecting our Second Amendment Rights.”
(p. 104, ll. 2-3). He is trying to maintain the rights in compliance with the Second Amendment which allows people to care weapons for their own and in this way, it makes it harder for the criminals to use weapons for criminal purpose.
The speech held in Denver; Colorado April 2013 from Barack Obama is a very important speech that refers to a serious topic.
