Cloning, the thing from science fiction novels, is it a real thing?
Scientists would say that it is, and much closer to being a full-on reality, than we might think.
The question is, how far away in the future is cloning humans and animals, and which advantages and disadvantages come along with it? Aside from that, is it ethically correct to conduct cloning?
To clone, you need two egg cells, that are both from the same animal.
-One of these given egg cells will then have its DNA removed.
You take the DNA from the other somatic cell and put it inside the devoid-of-DNA egg cell. Whatever that egg cell goes on to produce for offspring will be genetically identical to the parent cell.
Now, whilst the joining of two cells is what happens in the production of humans, this form of cellular photocopying can occur in nature.
Many researchers have experimented with cloning, and one of the most known cloning experiments is "Dolly the sheep ", which was a cloning experiment, conducted on a sheep.

Now, this brings us to the moral questions that are to be asked.
-Is cloning ethical?
To answer that: Maybe.
Ethics are in simple terms described as moral principles, and they can vary from person to person.
Some scientists who focus on replicating/cloning humans by studying egg-cells, justify their research by using spare-eggs from other research.
Many people still find it to be unethical to use eggs for research, as it can be thought of in the same way as abortions.
Basically, because of the fact, that an egg-cell would eventually (, potentially,) become a living being, people find it unethical to use it for research as it is not able to make its own decision to indulge in this research.
Personally, I find cloning to be fascinating as a technology, and decently acceptable as a concept in itself. I find utilizing egg-cells for research completely okay.
I will reason this by saying, that those egg-cells wouldn't all become children in any way, meaning that they might as well go to research, as opposed to being wasted.
