The main character works in a pharmacy and regrets the 70.000-dollar mistake about taking the education as a pharmacist, as an impatient customer complains about the service.

Judging people before knowing them well can create unnecessary scenarios. When you do not know people's background it can lead to many negative misconceptions. In the short story” Pill Pusher” (2016) the writer Carolyn A. Drake highlights the problem concerning judging people.

Frequently the society has a way of coming up with false theories about others’ personalities. This essay will consist of an analysis and interpretation of the short story, and will also have a central focus on the main character.

The perspective from which the story is told gives a better relation to the main character because it lies with the first-person point of view. “Ma’am, it’s not Walgreens,” I try to explain, “it’s–” the law, but the words are cut off before I can finish.”

The shown instance has the effect of providing the reader's compassion for her because it is seen from her perspective. This point of view makes the story interesting because all the experiencing throughout the story is clarified through the narrator and explained through her own voice directly.

The point of view is shown by the pronouns that the writer uses to describe the main character. There are used a few of them in the text and two examples of pronouns in the text are:” My eyes flicker…” and “I’ll have to handle this.” The pronounces in these cited examples are “I” and “My”.
