The matter of culture is a global discussion. Culture is something that every individual human can cultivate. When you live in a foreign country, some choose to adapt the foreign country’s “rules” and culture.

The subject in the text Day trippers is culture and identity, and how important maintaining contact with your original culture is.

The text is written by a woman called Raman Mundair, who has Indian roots. Indian culture is driven by intellectuality and spirituality.

Being a second generation of Indian immigrants, can cause a cultural identity crisis, like in the text, where the main characters don´t want to practice their culture.
